So I’ve changed the site’s look a little. It’s not an\u00a0earth-shattering transformation, but I think it’s a\u00a0decent improvement.\u00a0If you notice anything strange, please let me know. You can comment here or send me an email<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I could go into all the details of the design changes, but\u00a0I don’t want to bore\u00a0anyone. I’ll just list off the most significant content updates which are:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0A\u00a0new slideshow on the home page<\/a><\/p>\n

2)\u00a0A little more information and a few more pictures on the Kirkbride biography page<\/a><\/p>\n

3) I decided to keep the existing transcription of Kirkbride’s book<\/a> available and improved\u00a0the interface a bit.<\/p>\n

4) And I finally\u00a0posted\u00a0a “complete” list of Kirkbride buildings on the buildings page<\/a>. That’s as complete a list as I’m comfortable posting right now. I’m sure there are, or were, at least a few more. Hopefully\u00a0I can now\u00a0look forward to emails telling me I “missed” one instead of dreading them.\u00a0I also hope\u00a0this prevents people from\u00a0thinking the Kirkbrides featured here are the only ones out there.<\/p>\n

I’ll be making more updates over the next few weeks, including some additions to the buildings pages. I’m aiming\u00a0to visit some “new” places over the spring and summer too. I recently warmed up to the idea of making this more of a community-based project and put out some feelers to see if anyone wanted to contribute pictures.\u00a0That was met with a pretty underwhelming response, so\u00a0I’ve abandoned the idea. I’m happy with being responsible for all the content, but it’s difficult to get access\u00a0and travel to\u00a0all these buildings. Over time though I should be able to\u00a0make some progress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
