She was excited to see photos of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kirkbridebuildings.com\/buildings\/hudsonriver\/\" title=\"Hudson River State Hospital Kirkbride History and Photos\">Hudson River State Hospital Kirkbride<\/a> appear on the screen behind the band while they played their new song <em>Been Away Too Long<\/em>. It turns out the building also makes a cameo in the song&#8217;s video. See above. Note that only exterior images of the Kirkbride appear. The interior scenes take place within a completely different building, probably not even on the former Hudson River State Hospital campus.<\/p>\n<p>I like the fact that the Kirkbride&#8217;s being exposed to a lot of people who probably don&#8217;t already know about it. It&#8217;s too bad it&#8217;s in such a ruinous state, but I suppose that fits the theme of the video, so it probably wouldn&#8217;t have happened any other way.<\/p>\n<p><em>UPDATE: On the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kirkbridebuildings\" title=\"Kirkbride Buildings on Facebook\" target=\"_blank\">Kirkbride Buildings Facebook page<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeremyharris.com\/\" title=\"Jeremy Harris Photographs\" target=\"_blank\">Jeremy Harris<\/a> says the interiors shown in the video were shot at <a href=\"http:\/\/ny.curbed.com\/tags\/temple-court\" title=\"Temple Court on Curbed\" target=\"_blank\">Temple Court in Manhattan, NY<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A friend of mine recently posted photos from a Soundgarden show on Instagram.
