So yesterday KirkbrideBuildings.com got a link in an Associated Press article<\/a> which was picked up by all kinds of news sites including The New York Times<\/em>, The Washington Post<\/em>, and Fox News<\/em>. Needless to say, this resulted in HUGE traffic, even bigger than the last traffic spike in May<\/a>. While I’m ecstatic about the exposure, my rickety old hosting service couldn’t take the heat and clocked out at about 11PM EST when my monthly bandwidth quota was exceeded.<\/p>\n

Twelve hours later, the site is back. I’ve paid for more bandwidth and hopefully it’ll hold out till the end of July. But just in case the site goes down again and you foresee needing a Kirkbride photo fix before August, bookmark my Kirkbride set on Flickr<\/a> now or bookmark the pages listed on my links page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The good news is, of course, a lot of new visitors to the site and a lot more awareness of Kirkbride buildings<\/a> and their endangered status. I also got a flood of emails from people which included some interesting bits of information. I’ll post about some of that eventually.
