Normally I'd put something like this on the blog, but I'm getting tired of saying things like "It's not a sure thing yet, but the Clocktower might be saved..." on there. I'd like to not repeat things, but still, this article is worth a quick look.
New Hospital on Track
Like I said, nothing really new except for the fact that the desire to preserve the Clocktower continues. And that potential uses include: "expansion of a nearby hotel or competition for it, or it could serve as living quarters for UMass Medical School graduate students."
Fate of the Clocktower

Well at least it is sounding like they are going to keep it one way or another. Interesting they mention Hooper Hall, I wasn't aware that it was spared the wrecking ball. Any info. on what or where this Camp Joy is?

Yeah, Hooper Hall has been spared.
Camp Joy is located behind and to the right of where the Kirkbride used to be, sort of down the hill a little I believe. I've seen a sign for it up at Worcester State Hospital, but I never bothered to check it out. I always assumed it was a place for disabled children to go to - just a sort of day camp.
I never saw any people or cars coming or going down the road that led to it. I'm not sure if it's still in operation, but it sounds like maybe it is from the article.
