This post on the Ohio University Library's blog mentions a tantalizing scientific analysis of The Stain in Lin Hall: Scientific Analysis of a Ridges "Ghost" Story. There's an article written by the investigator, one Dr Glen Jackson of OU's Chemistry Dept, explaining his findings, but it requires a username and password for access. I guess maybe you have to be a student, alumnus or staff member to access it. Anybody here have access? If so, can you give us the gist? Please don't reproduce the article here, but just tell us what the conclusion is (ie. is the stain for real or not?).

And for those of you not familiar with The Stain, here's some background:

2) The Ridges - Hauntings
